Lighting furnace and water heater?

We are newbies and fixed up a 1995 jayco eagle trailer. Question: do we need to manually light the furnace and water heater or will they start up on own?

The furnace will light on it's own, once propane gets to it. If it hasn't been used lately, it'll take a few cycles before it lights.

The water heater may or may not. It depends if it's a DSI (Direct Spark Ignition) model. If not, you'll need to light the pilot manually.

Be sure the water heater is full of water before starting it.
