I thought I would share a recent experience. I have an Alante 29S and needed a hydraulic cylinder jack. Don’t ask why! So I called my dealer and he told me the part number was #195860. 8 hole 8000#, and it was over $1,000.00. But would have to order it. So, I found the part number on Amazon. They had used ones for $310. So, I bought one. It came and was 7 hole and an inch shorter than my existing one. Requested return immediately. A day later, I ordered a new one for $473.00. It came the next day. I got the same cylinder as the used one. So, I did a search for comparing 7 and 8 hole jacks. Lo and behold, up pops a pdf showing the 7 and 8 hole and saying that the 7 hole replaces the 8 hole and an inch shorter. Both of them have the same part number, which by the way is nowhere on the part. Gen2 cylinders have marked stickers so you can look them up.
I’ve never heard of two different parts with the same part numbers. And no way to identify them.
Hopefully this will help someone.
