Location Service Disabled??

Since the last update, I keep getting a notice, when I click on a thread in this forum about "Location services are disabled". It appears at the top of my screen, and instructs me to go to my settings and allow access to my location. I click on Dismiss, but it pops up again when I click on the next thread. I don't want to have to click Dismiss everytime I click on a thread.

I prefer to have the location setting turned off, and never get this type of notice from any other forum I've joined. Other forums don't require my location.

Is there a setting on this forum that will disable the location requirement?

I'm using Duck Duck Go as my browser. When I do a screen shot, it does not include the notice.

I was getting the same with this updated version when I changed pages on this site and I went to settings, privacy & security and played around with the settings and stopped it, (I think).

I can change my settings, but that's the problem. If I allow jayco owners forum to track my location, the notices go away. I don't want them tracking my location. All of the other forums I visit don't require my location.

I haven't found a way to disable them on Duck either and it doesn't matter if I agree to them or not, it keeps popping up

That's weird, on mine it pops up when I get on so I click block or allow and it doesn't show up again. I'm on the Micro...Edge browser.
I would go into settings and allow access to location, then you should have the option to block or allow.
Maybe your browser needs an update?
Curious, what's the big deal with the forum knowing your general location anyway? I think it's all about target advertising and not really an invasion of privacy. Do you ever use GPS? I find it quite handy when my phone knows my location unless I'm hiding, or committing a crime of course.

Absolutely zero issue with forum knowing, it is just annoying as hell having it pop up all the time. Other browsers seem to be ok.

Many forum functions use cookies so you can see the content in an orderly way. Cookies are also used to keep you logged in during page changes, show you the content you haven't viewed yet, and more.

Duck, Duck go purges cookies at page changes, which causes unexpected views.

Other browsers and/or security add-ins sometimes do this as well, if you have ratcheted down your privacy settings.

Please allow cookie exchange with the site to solve most of these issues.

I do allow the cookies, no issues whatsoever with that. I guess I need to live with it on this browser

I have been using DDG for many years and haven't had any issues with any site.

Location services? Is this on a cell? This is all I can see on the settings page for the browser on the computer and neither males any difference
