Missing keys

I just bought a starcraft/jayco 297BHS and I am missing the deadbolt key. I was told to pull the handle apart to get the key code. You can see by the sticker is is 310. Dealer said it was not right. So I took the handle to them and still no answer they said I had some odd key code. My other key will fit but not turn it. Is my key a master key of sorts. Either way how do I go about getting a key that works the dead bolt. My green key works on the handle only not the dead bolt. Need some help

You might have a master key. I think that for two reasons.
1- You say the key works in the handle but not the deadbolt. That is exactly what a dealer master key will do. A regular key for a camper will work both the handle lock and the dead bolt. I used to work for a RV dealer and had a master key albeit it was red vs green.
2- Looking at the pic of your key, it looks to me like the part number starts with MK which may very well stand for Master Key.

Have you actually tried a code 310 key? If the tag inside the lock says 310, a 310 key will work unless the lock cylinders were replaced. If you cannot find a key that will work, you can replace the lock assembly. Most are pretty standard among travel trailers and fifth wheels. IIRC a replacement lock assembly costs around $25 to $35 dollars, comes with at least two keys and can be replaced with a screw driver in about 5 minutes.

My local rv shop said the key should have a code like HF310 or something like that. I tried that key and it didn't work. I attached a pic of the assembly. They said I may be a dextor lock. Your thoughts. Should I go to a lock smith or just replace it

The logo on the lock looks like Dexter....the logo on the master key, appearance and numbering convention (310) appear to be Global Link.

You can order keys directly from Global Link (RV Locks & More) for a few bucks.

If it were me, I would replace the door lock and all cargo locks with new matching key Global Link Locksets from "RV Locks & More".

It will cost you about $40-$50 (cheaper than a locksmith) and you'll need just one key for all your TT entrance and compartment doors. Besides - there's a good chance your existing cargo locks are a common key (CH751) that many of your camping neighbors also share. You can pick from dozens of numbers when ordering new locksets from Global Link....and you can order additional keys anytime at a very reasonable price.

Is there different lock assmblies or are they all the same. I.e. Do I need a certain lock set to fit my camper or are they all the same?

Most contemporaries take the same rough opening preparation. I replaced my Bauer Locksets with Global Link.

E-mail all your pictures to RV Locks and More - they will fix you up. Good service, reasonable prices and fast - IMHO

I got my new keys, all is good now, I did the right thing and threw my green master key in the garbage thanks for all the help
