Mods to 377 RLBH?

Tom
Does it ever stop? That really blows. U r right about your dealer theory. I remember someone posting about a crack and it might of been grumpy. I would post that separate and see what responses u get.
A good glass guy will fix it better than new but it should not happen to start with. What do u think happened at dealer?
It will keep getting bigger until stop drilled and repaired. I have a factory repair date for my roof and kitchen slide removal an repair.

I think the forklift operator probably either lifted it up too quickly or didn't have the king pin seated correctly while moving it and it dropped.
The dealer didn't try to claim it was already like that or try to deny any wrong doing. I didn't accuse them of anything either, I just said I found this crack and it wasn't there before. They said they'd get in touch with jayco to get a plan on repairs. Hopefully I can take it to a body shop and get it fixed right

Tom, I am sure you have seen it on other posts but be aware that wall cracks near the slide-outs are problematic with many builders. Jayco will fix it right but be cautious of a dealer quick fix. Friendly share from my personal experience.

Thanks. I definitely won't let dealer do a quick fix and honestly I don't think they have the ability to do such a repair.

Another reason I try to stay away from dealers!!

They ALWAYS want you to leave trailer there and every time they leave every door unlocked and usually park them in the south 40 where anyone can do whatever they decide to do.

So true!

Excited! After a month at the dealer, I'm picking up my 377 tomorrow! Had the seal under the kitchen slide replaced, the self over the dinette repaired, a couple of "lumps" under the linoleum floor fixed, a repair to a rear crank-open window so that it now opens, all 4 slide toppers tightened, the collapsed hose for siphoning anti-freeze for winterizing replaced (with PEX), and a NYS inspection (brakes and lights).

All for a total of $6! (the cost of a New York trailer inspection.).....

I really hate the empty space in my side yard!

I had my slide seal replaced as well. Also had my Texas inspection done.

We are looking at getting the 377 and was wondering if anyone had the on demand hot water heater? It is on the unit we are looking at and the dealer send to know nothing about it. Pros? Cons?

I have one. After a few adjustments of water temputure and getting an aftermarket shower head we like it now. Just takes a little time to get use to if you've been using a tank heater for years.

So I got my trailer back from dealer getting brakes replaced along with new seals. Dealer tech claims to have used Timken. Still need to get the brakes broken in. Didn't notice any real difference than before.
But a potentially bigger problem I discovered after getting home is a cracked sidewall by the bedroom slide. Only about 2" but it definitely wasn't there before I brought it in. (I washed the trailer beforehand).

Dealer is getting with Jayco to determine a plan of action

Hey Tom, why not add a Viair system to your truck. I like the inverter idea regardless, but our onboard compressor / tank is mounted in the tool box with QD on the running board. That way, always with the truck / camper. Carry a 50' hose which reaches everything.

Well John I finally took you advice and got a viair compressor with a 5 gallon tank. I put the QD on the 7 way bracket. Also added switches and gauge for air bags and a train horn. [emoji3]

How long has yours been like that? How long have you owned the camper? I've had mine about 16 months IIRC

My cracked just showed up in April. Noticed it when I was hooking it up. Was in my yard setup for about a month. My 377 is 16 months old. About 7,000 miles on it. Always level out jacks before slides. I was going to wait until end of year to bring to dealer. Just watching it closely.

Interesting that our units are same age and about same miles. Wonder if this "issue" turn into something like the outriggers on the kitchen slide
