Hey guys, I am looking at getting a 1000w pure sine inverter (motomaster) from canadian tire and was wondering if anyone has one and what they think of it. I will mostly be using it to power my ps4 and 32"lcd tv for rainy days and late evenings so I don't have to run the generator. Interested in how you all have yours setup and also since it does not come with wires what you would recommend for a 12v battery and wire setup. And also how you keep your battery topped up. Thanks in advance everyone!

I had one for a while they seem to be an OK unit. You will need at least 4 ga welder cable to connect it to your battery(s). IF it is a long run from the battery to the unit then you might need even larger cable.. If you don't have a battery or need to replace what you have I would recommend a pair of 6 volt "golf cart" batteries wired together for 12 volt.. I keep my system charged up with a solar panel.

Awesome thanks! Why do you prefer the 6v golf cart batteries? I've heard a few people recommend going that way. And what size solar panel do you use?

Do you need 1000 watts for a 32" TV and ps4? I would suggest getting the smallest inverter that meets your needs. The larger the inverter the less efficient they are which means shorter play time.

2-6's give more power, last longer and are truly made for the abuse that RVers put on them.. the plates are much thicker than in a 12V battery.
I have 4 panels on my roof for a total of 515 watts (bought them over 3 years all the same size but the newer ones are more efficient) and I just added a 250 watt panel that I mount on a pole so it can follow the sun (rotate) which helps in forest areas that I visit in the summer
