My door is cracking up

Mine cracked like the others at least a couple of years ago. It’s sat through winter cold and summers of 110* and hasn’t gotten any worse. I pretty much forget it’s there so will probably ignore it unless it starts crumbling away.

I have the same issue on my 2017 23MRB. It is a "plastics" issue and my guess is that the cause is the tensile strength of the plastic in different temperature. Our shows more cracks after colder weather. One cheap solution is to use a bondo type material, sand, then paint. I also saw someone use a soldering iron to melt the cracks and then his wife painted the door using the cracks as a design.

Just noticed on our 2020 232 RB

Wow never had a TT or RV do this.
What the heck???

Noticed this today — parallel hairline cracks on the inside panel of the door. I though they were just different sections until I noticed the one at the bottom left was not parallel and clearly a crack. DW says she noticed it back in June, so it wasn’t caused by our interminable summer heat. And it never got below 30 degrees this past winter. There have been no moisture leaks as I’m anal about caulking things outside. Just old age? Defective product?

Has anyone experienced this? If so, did you replace it? It looks like I can pull the bottom lip off and the window out and slide a new one in. Or caulk them with clear and call it good?

My Door is Cracking Up

I have 2018 Jayflight 28RLDS. Mine cracked also. I covered the crack with white seam strip for paneling. O. K. for now. My thought is the panel expands in the summer when it gets hot and contracts in winter when cold, the adhesive holds it when expanded and when cold it cracks. Mine I found cracked in the spring. Not sure on a permanent fix.

10 month old thread but I’m expecting the same issue on both of the doors on our 2018 28BHBE. I noticed the issue about a year ago and found a video where a guy removed the plastic laminate off the door and applied a new skin… too much work for me and these doors run about $700 each so I’m searching again for an easier and cheaper solution. This appears to me to be a manufacturing issue as my bathroom door is never exposed to the sun but is still full of these cracks.

I'm having the same issue with my 2016 BHBE.
Have you tried contacting Jayco?

Just the other day I noticed my door had cracks also.
2016 Jayco Whitehawk mrb.
I found it when I was wondering why my deadbolt wouldn't lock smooth or at times not at all. My door has a slight warp(bowing out when closed).
Thought it was water intrusion, but foam doesn't swell...does it?
I'm going to thourally caulk the exterior and see what happens.
It is a mystery??

I have not. The trailer has been out of warranty for 3 year so I doubt they will do anything. We also have the faux leather dinette cushions that are peeling that I need to address....I'll probably put couch covers on them and deal with it until we sell the camper.
