This is my new 2010 Dodge Ram diesel 3500. It was nice and shiny because I took advantage of my neighbour who was away on vacation and used his garage to clay my truck, which really got rid of all the contaminants and made it smooth as glass and then I put on a sealer which really brought out the shine. Sometime this month I will put a coat of carnuba wax and then a couple of coats after that.

I am able (just) to put my truck in my small garage and keep it out of the weather as we have had several severe thunder storms the last 2 weeks with hail and I am really gunshy right now.

I have spent so much time sitting in the truck, reading the manual, programming the Nav and radio system that I have next to no mileage on the truck. It reads 707 Kms, which is under 500 miles and I will have had it one month on the 2nd.. The truck will have rusted out before my first oil change at this rate.

I'm not familiar with "clay my truck"..... is that a Canadian term? Wut's it mean

It is a legitimate term. I will explain. When you buy a new vehicle that is transported by rail or car carrier the vehicles get coated with contaminates like brake dust, rail dust etc. and if you run your hand over the paint you will feel the grit and in order to remove it you must clay the vehicle so you can do a proper wax job. In order to do this you buy a clay bar (looks like plasticine) nead it into a round glob about the size of your palm and then spray a small area with a spray bottle of water or if you buy the kit then use the bottle of liquid they supply, rub the clay in a circular motion or whatever is easier for you, you do not need to put pressure on it, wipe the area dry with a microfibre towel and continue. If you rub your hand over the paint it should be smooth as glass. I used Mother's Clay Bar with the spray bottle then I bought a bottle of Mother's Sealer and Glaze for the finish coat. If you google claying cars you will see several videos on the process.

Some folks think I am nuts when I do this but I like to keep my vehicles in pristine condition even when they were leased, but now this one is mine(and the banks) so I will be even more anal.

Each day I get in this truck I am amazed at what Dodge has put in their vehicles. As I said in the past I had a 2007 Dodge diesel 2500 Laramie and their is no comparison in the two models. The 07 drove like a tank( I have driven in tanks), this vehicle drives like a well appointed car. I can't believe how quiet the engine is, even compared to my old 07, and nothing like the older diesels.

I hope to pick up my 5th wheel next week and then I can compare how this truck tows compared to my last one. I will post when I do it.
