Greetings from Dallas!

I hope I am posting this in the right thread... if not, please let me know where it should be posted.

My son just bought --day before yesterday-- a used Jayco Jay Feather 2004 23b and he/we are exploring its features and... needed repairs.

If anybody own or knows anything about a Jayco Jay Feather 2004 23b, please make yourself known!

Just about everything seems to be working as it should, with the exception of the bathroom light. It does not turn on. My son took the light unit out, it seems to be working but not getting any power.

He called the seller who said there were two switches near the sink, one controls the bathroom and the other one the water tank.

Q1: How can one tell which switch controls what?

Q2: If he turns on the switch to the (empty water tank) pump, will it be damaged? Will he hear any sounds/noise? I presume the pump pressurizes the tank.

Q3: Does anybody have a Jayco Jay Feather 2004 23b manual or wiring diagram, or know where we can get one?

Thanks!

Pat

Congratulations on your son’s new/used 23B.

As for the bathroom light switch look for it right below the counter top, above the cabinet door. Some trailers have/had two water pump switches, you might have one of those setups. As for running the pump dry, that is not an issue. The pumps do make a bit of noise when they are running. There is a pressure switch in them so they will turn off on their own.

As for any schematics and manuals, contact Jayco with your vin number and they will send it to you.

If you email Jayco with the vin, they will often send you the information you need once the trailer is out of warranty.

I have a 2004 Jay Feather 23B. The two switches in our bathroom (under the sink) are for the light and the fan. The pump switch is near the entry door to the camper which also has two switches for the hot water tank.

The water pump does not pressurize the tank. Only pumps water from the fresh tank to faucets, etc when not connected to city water supply
