Mystery Cable Under the Dashbaord

Does anyone know what this cable is for? I found it protruding from underneath the dash. It was barely showing, so i pulled it down a little to find the connector you see here. Anyone have an idea?

Just a guess but maybe it is for a cigarette lighter that would go in that space. Ford often wires for accessories on vehicles that don't end up getting them. For instance, on my truck I have connections by the frame that are for running board lights, even though my running boards do not have lights on them
