I haven't had an RV for 20+ years but went to all lower 48 over the years. Now newly married 2 years ago to a man who never camped, we bought a trailer and took short camping trips within 3 hours of home. He liked it so in November we bought a Greyhawk 26Y and want to travel a little more. Thinking of Branson about March 15 and we are coming from Delaware. Any advice?

Welcome to JOF, sounds like time for some new adventures. Crossing the midwest in March can be iffy since its still winter. Just keep an eye on the weather and travel when its not snowing and you will be good, it probably will be cold at night you may want to invest in an electric heater to save on propane.

Branson is one of our favorite places to visit, have visited twice and one visit was to celebrate our anniversary at the end of Mar. Still very cold then. As mentioned earlier, pay close attention to the weather and a electric blanket would not be a bad idea :) Lots of thing to do there and in between Brandson and Springfield. Safe travels.

While we've never been to Branson, we do know the cold. We have four electric blankets in the motorhome. They don't use much electricity (400-600 watts each) and they're the best way to make it thru a cold night.

Welcome Aboard,
Spend lots of time cruising the past posts of this site. There is a lot of information there.
Enjoy Branson and enjoy the ride.
There is a year round campground about an hour east of St. Louis in Carlyle, Illinois. Its a Corps of Engineers facility and called Dam East Spillway, other campsites open up in the area, April first.
Good place to stop before hitting the traffic of St. Louis.

We recently stayed five days in Branson at the Turkey Creek RV Village in late September. Quiet, close to everything and clean. It's an Escapees park so it is probably open year-round. We enjoyed the trip.
