I need a favor ASAP if you have a Jayco or Entegra with the front window in the overhead bunk. Our 29V was delivered with the lower trim piece for the front cabover window missing. It's taken the dealer nearly 6 months to get the piece in thanks to Entegra/Jayco dragging their feet. The service manager at the dealership just called me to tell me the piece came in. But, he said the bottom of it looks to be rough cut fiberglass. The purpose of the trim piece is to cover the rough cut fiberglass around the front window. We haven't allowed anyone to sleep up there as we consider it a hazard. The service manager (great guy, he's been very helpful since we got the rig) told me to come down tomorrow and look at it and if I'm not happy with it he'll call Entegra back and deal with them. I'm not worried about what the bottom of the trim piece looks like as it is supposed to slip over the exposed cap fiberglass. But I don't have a photo of what the top part looks like.
If anyone is near their rig could they please grab a couple photos of the trim piece in place for me? The dealer doesn't have any Entegras on their lot right now.
If you climb up in the front bunk with the window shade open the trim piece is the black plastic/fiberglass piece that fills in the opening on the bottom edge of the window.
I added some photos and while taking them noticed that the two sides have the same exposed cut. If you have something covering the fiberglass on the sides could you post those photos too?
Photos below show the area I'm talking about. The black piece is the rough cut fiberglass cap. When we bought ours we discovered this and checked the other Odysseys that they did have on the lot and all of them had a piece on the bottom covering the area. I never looked at the sides so there may be something missing there too.
I appreciate it.
