2 Quick question,
we are looking at purchasing the Eagle 274ckds, but with the whole COVID 19 thing we can not get a dealer to let us walk through one. The one thing we would like to know is does the island block the view of the television from the stadium seating? Our local dealer doesn't have one so we would have to order and if we order it is ours and that is the one question no one seems to be able to answer for me?

We are trying to decided between buying the white hawk 32rl vs eagle 274CKDS, we like them both and they are priced close,,,,, which one is recommended

My DW and I have a 2019 White Hawk 28RL, not quite the same rig you are looking at, but I can certainly speak to the White Hawk quality, comfort, and tow ability. We have had several TT over the years and with past units there were always multiple issues or small things that had to be fixed. We have not had a single issue with our White Hawk, not even trim that needed to be reattached. The rear living component works great for my DW and I, but we have room when the grandkids join us. The TT tows exceptionally well, better than our previous TT even though it was a lighter rig. All this to say, I don’t think you would be disappointed with the White Hawk. We have looked at the Eagles and they are very nice units, for us, a little bit more expensive but not enough to break the deal on a purchase. The White Hawk was just a better fit as far as weight and room was concerned.

Don’t think you would go wrong with either, but I am a White Hawk fan. Good luck with your choice. Hope you are as happy as we have been.

Thank you for the quick reply, since you have the 28rl maybe you give me input on the windshield over the bed. It sounds like a great idea but since you have it, are there any complaints, or is it an feature you like? Also did you go with the two AC units? I was going to order the second unit but dealer is telling me that option is not necessary, that one unit works fine in the white hawk,
Thanks Again for the feedback

Sounds to me like your dealer is being an a**. Do yourself a favor an find a different dealer. My dealer is just over 100mi from me and has treated me, my family, and everyone I've referred to them like family. No pressure, no hassles, no BS either. Great people to deal with, great pricing, and from their website they have one in stock.

Give them a call.

White Hawk Windshield and A/C

I have to be honest, the windshield is not our favorite feature. Keep in mind that we live in Texas with summer temps reaching high 90’s. The windshield can allow extra heat to build in the bedroom. It was an easy fix for us, we just bought foam padding from wall-mart and cut it to fit. It stays in place while camping in Texas, but is removed when we head to the high country. About the second A/C, again keeping in mind we live in Texas. Our dealer told us that some people choose to add the second a/c, some do not. For another $1400, we added the second air and are very glad that we did. With temps in the high 90’s, once or twice in the 100’s, the second unit was the only was to stay cool. I don’t think we would need the second a/c if we lived in a cooler climate or only camped in the mountains, but for us the $1400 was a good investment.

Call a couple dealers, any brand. Ask if you can do walk throughs. If the answer is yes, I would not walk away from this deal you are dealing with, I would put on my running shoes and blow out of there. I would in any event never buy a camper without inspecting it inside and outside first
