New 32 BHDS towing issues

Do you have the outside kitchen or the huge outside storage area? If you have the storage area do you have it loaded really heavy? If you have the rear kitchen do you have anything in the front storage area?

Yes, I do have the outside kitchen....I do have a considerable amount of weight in the front storage...i'll know my tongue weight this evening...
I have the Reece 1500 # Dual cams on the way...
we'll see how this setup works...

thanks everyone, i'll keep you posted.
Cheers

I've got the 2011 314BDS Superlite w/ new Reese Dual Cam sway @ 1200 lb bars. i use 5 links and I don't have any issues towing. Memeorial day weekend we had some high cross winds traveling and no issues. Go to the Jayco dealer and get the hitch set up and adjusted correctly. You don't want to mess around with the most important part of your equipment.

RLDO361,

Sounds like you have your Dual Cam dialed in pretty good.

The other half of the number of "chain links under tension" equation is the amount of ball mount tilt on the draw bar. One could have the same 5 chain links under tension, but a different ball mount tilt will produce a different distribution effect even on the same TV/TT combination.

I just towed 1000 miles this week back and forth to the windy outerbanks and had no issues with my 1200# bars and Reese dual cam setup. The TV is a 2002 Excursion and is dead level with the 32bhds maybe a 1/4 nose down. It helps I think to load some things in the rear just to keep it even. If you have it loaded to the max at 10,000# and 10-12% tongue weight then the 1200 bars are on the edge but within specs.
