Hello. I jave a 2010 Eagle HTX 31' 50 amp pre-wired for 2nd ac. I'm going to put ac in bedroom where the roof vent is. When I remove the vent it appears to have small ducts, that make the vent housing cold to the touch. Does this mean I need a ducted AC? Or is it non ducteed? Thank you

a/c

We recently installed a RecPro ducted A/c. Recpro includes the ceiling assembly/air diverter- some companies sell it separately..
We had those vents already installed like you do, so we ordered the ducted version. You just have to open the ducts (remove silver tape, in our case) and seal all the possible air leaks in the box.
The hardest parts of the job were getting the ac up on the roof, and scraping all the old sealant from the original vent install.

Thanks. That is what I was going to go with. The Houghton/rec pro. 13.5k

It came fast, and the packaging was the best I've ever seen- double boxed. Watch install videos on youTube. Most people leave it in the box to get it on the roof. We slid ours up a long ladder.
Also, measure the height of your roof, from the inside ceiling to the roof surface. Ours was about 7" and the standard bolts weren't long enough. They have longer bolts for $26 or so, which I thought was too much money. I spent more than that buying stuff at the hardware store to extend them, lol.
