i have been looking at the gray hawk class c(new)i like the 2 year warranty,how would you compare it to the forest river and coachmen leprechaun,seems to me forest river is having issues with there roof leaking,went on there fourm and read about 15 pages on leaking roofs,and this is on class c that are from 2016 on back.also has anyone dealt with any jayco dealers down in florida

We had two different Holiday Rambler class A motorhomes for many years and the build quality was excellent. Our current Jayco class C motorhome build quality is excellent.
What I like is there's always something work on, upgrade, modify, and most of all just enjoying the great outdoors.
We only buy used and don't have anything good or bad to say about any dealers or warranty programs. Many owners will buy a Coach-Net warranty package for their RVs.

Just purchased a new 2016 greyhawk 29MV, in July. Love this rig, so far so good. Only issue is tankless water heater, not working. That is being addressed end of the month. I bought new , because I like to spend my time camping, not replacing everything in a used rig. Also if you look some people want top dollar for a used rig. I would rather start fresh maintenance wise, as I do my own.

Last summer (2015) we too looked at all the comparable C's out there, and found that Jayco had the most to offer for the money... workmanship quality, suspension/ride, standard features, warranty and most of all a great local dealer to work with. Our 2015 has a TPO roof, but 2016+ have a fiberglass roof that should be less of a roof leak issue going forward. Since Aug 2015, we have put on nearly 10K miles with no major issues thus far... just little nuisances that we either fix, live with or are 'on the list' to be fixed under warranty at the end of this camping season. 6thcav, good luck on your purchase decision and let us know what your final decision is when made.

+1 on this...I too have been shopping for the past 2 yrs looking at all of the class Cs out there and found Jayco to be the best in value and quality. They especially had the best roof design on the 2016 and 2017. I decided to go with the 2017 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV. I am due to take delivery on it the end of Oct.

Tell me a little more about the roofs. I am looking at a 2014 Greyhawk 29mv, should I be worried about the roof? Owner says he's the first owner and it's been stored in inside or covered storage, if I buy it it would be kept inside in the winter and under a carport in the summer.

We purchased a 2010 Grayhawk this year from the original owner and are quite happy. It made it's maiden voyage to Yellowstone and back (3200 miles) without a problem.

We love the C class over the others. We thought long and hard about the type we wanted and the C Class was for us.

We had a Jayco Grayhawk and loved it. However we outgrew it from a footprint perspective it wound up having to switch to class A and brand. However if we were ever to go back to a classy I would certainly put Jayco first on my list.

We left Ft Myers, FL on June 15 in our 2016 Greyhawk 29MV and have accumulated 11K miles so far on our cross country trip to Washington state and back with about 1500 miles remaining.

Mechanically, the coach and appliances have been flawless. We had one minor problem; the black and gray water support bracket became disconnected due to a screw breaking. I wired it together and Rhone's Travel Trailers in Cogan Station, PA, our dealer, quickly fixed it on our way home.

With the Jride Plus equipment, the coach handles like a dream on the road. Fuel economy towing a Jeep Wrangler 2 door has been 7.72 mpg from the day we owned it. Since breaking in, fuel economy during August was 8.07 mpg over 3353 miles. All hand calculated. Oh, I tow at 57 mph.

Bottom line----a first class coach!
