While dropping our coach off at NIRV in Vegas for the second winter of warranty items, I was able to walk a new 2024 Entegra 37M XL. I noticed a few more items that have changed. The first is a DEAL BREAKER! The main kitchen full slide is completely different underneath. It now drops down and cuts about 12" out of the lower bays! The lower bay doors are now well below the pass through area. They are the same size or possibly smaller than the driver side front bays. There is no way you could put large chairs or pop up tents into the bay to sit on top of that pass through area. Not sure if this is on other models or not. They must have changed the slide mechanism to another style. Picture below:

A few other model change items that I had not heard mentioned yet:
  • Looks like they have added a locking differential to the rear. I am not sure about this one, but there is a new switch on the dash that has a spinning wheel.
  • Sound bar on wall below pop up TV
  • Much more storage below main sink
  • Slightly more comfortable theater seats - seems they took out some of the padding in the lumber area. The seat also goes all the way to the back of the wall.
  • Much deeper small couch below pop up TV. It is very comfortable and goes all the way to the way. It is slight shorter in the back to make room for the sound bar.
  • The wing walls are taller. This makes for a taller cabinet and what appears to be a bit more support.
  • Below the cabinet on the wing wall, they have added a much need heater vent insinde that cabinet facing out to help heat the front area.
  • Light above dinette is just a flat LED now. Not as nice.
  • No accent lighting around the bathroom sink.

Already mentioned items:
  • All cabinets below the kitchen have been redone to make use of the height.
  • Front dash is different. Looks more automotive. The window switches are on the top of the doors now, which is really nice. They use different switches now and leave blanks for owner modification. The switches look better in my opinion.
  • The key was not in it so I could not see the digital dash.
  • Option for Starlink.
  • Change of hot water system.

Interesting. We’ve got that very same model. Took delivery in September. Our kitchen slide is as you have described. We still have sufficient pass thru storage, imo but that being said, can’t comment on earlier models. I have no trouble getting chairs, folding table, and folding wagon up there. Our cab is not as you described…obviously we’ve got the prior design. Chassis is ID’d as 2024 but we have no locking differential switch and window operation is still in the middle. Just completed a 4300 mile trip with ours. A few warranty issues to take care of, but overall very pleased.

When we were at the factory tour, they were building 2024 on the S2 chassis till they were used up and had the newer S2 Plus chassis which they had a bunch of setting outside in the field. I have not heard about of there is rear locker now but is possible as I know Renegade offers it in their chassis. Air Dump was also a standard on the S2+ chassis. Mixed feelings on the window switches, on the dash I can open the passenger side, with it on the door, I couldn’t. The added blank switched is nice, usually called “upfitter switches” for add ons. A quick way to tell the S2 vs the S2+ is the front grill, it’s changed on the Plus.

So I did some digging and found the owners manual. The spinning wheel switch is an Automatic Traction Control and not a locker, he description sounds like it may be a computers controlled braking action as it says to much use can cause brake damage. Also noticed that the right stick on the steering column is the transmission shifter with the e gone brake switch on the end of it.

Jason, the change you mention in the hot water system is probably because the XL and Prestige use the Aquahot system for hot water, heating and in floor heat. That is what you also noticed different heat vents.

Rusty, we were looking at the XL, but what I heard is that the non XL's went back to a regular hot water tank system vs. the insta hot. I am not a fan of our insta hot as it uses too much water when boondocking. I am torn between just adding a recirclulation system and swapping out the entire thing for a regular tank system.

Limited slip is probably right. Would be nice addition.

Window controls on driver's side controlled locks and both driver and passenger window just like most cars.

I am happy to hear that you did not have many problems with your unit. Mine was a mess and will be in the shop 16 out of the first 24 months...

Also glad that you can get items up there. The differerence is pretty big when you look at the two models next to each other as far as the bay door size. Plus, you have to duck even further down to keep from bumping your head. Not that big of a deal, but for me, offset the neat additions enough that I don't feel too bad about not having a 2024.

The ability to select the rate of braking between 3 levels is pretty nice. I think our older models just ramp down depending on speed and how hard you press the brake. I believe you might be able to effect it some by manually gearing down as well. Unless you know of another method.

Jeepin…You seem pretty knowledgeable about prior year models. Questions/comments?:

Did prior year Aquahot’s have the auxiliary diesel burner? Always heard this advertised as a “All electric” coach. Manual says the diesel burner is the most powerful heating aspect of the aquahot, not the electric heater. We turn the diesel burner on when we plan to shower. Hot water is pretty instant…very little waste imo, but it still doesn’t last forever. Halfway through 2nd shower, water is getting cool

Our floor heat is via an electric mat, separate from aquahot. Not that i mind, because it’s totally silent, but listening to the sales hype, i thought it would be liquid via the aquahot. Regardless, it works very good.

Personally, don’t mind the center mounted window switches…our toad is a Wrangler JL, so we’re use to it. Really don’t mind our cab overall, but long for a mpg gauge/display. The steering wheel controls on the S2+ look nice.

Our chassis dumps air automatically when you initiate autolevel. Did prior model years do that too? We don’t have dump switch, but I’d like to add one. Since the ability to dump automatically is already there, the addition of a switch seems like it should be pretty easy.

Our cruise control only works intermittently…more often not. Coach is currently at the dealer for winterizing and warranty work. Going to Freightliner after for cruise and hopefully to straighten up the steering wheel. Off just enough to bug me.

We just wrapped up a round trip from Michigan to Mesquite, NV, thorough Denver on the way out and I40 back. We are eastern US people. That’s probably the most severe mountain travel that we will ever see, and the chassis was fine, both power and braking. No real complaints.

It sounds like you have the XL or upgraded version. The regular version did not have the aquahot or heated floors.

We also have a JL that we tow behind our Seneca. I actually took the dash of the Seneca apart and moved the window switch over to the passenger side and moved the regen switch to the drivers side to ensure my wife had easy access to the window switch and never accidentally hit the regen switch. This is a super easy mod as the wiring harness is plenty long. The new dash is nice, but not nice enough to warrant trying to buy a new one. I like the truck looking dash we have.

Are you sure you have the air dump and that it is not just the hissing of air releasing when you lift the rear end up? I did not know they added that in 2023. A true air dump will remove all air before the jacks make contact with the ground. Something I have on my mod list.

Agree on power and braking, we live in Denver so we have to go over the tallest passes in the US to go anywhere west of here. The unit does fine. Not going to break any speed records going up, but a bigger engine might only give me 5-10 mph faster...

There is something wrong with your cruise control. Mine works flawlessly every time I use it.

Definitely has the air dump. The body drops down almost to rear tires before the jacks ever reach the ground, and it drops relatively fast. Yes, we have the XL as well which includes the aquahot. I was just curious if changes were made in the whole aquahot heating scheme after the fact. Like i said…all the hype is this is an all electric coach. Technically I guess that’s true, but you need to use the diesel burner on the aquahot to generate maximum btu’s. And as far as I can tell, the in floor heating has nothing to do with the aquahot. The floor heat is really nice. That and the fireplace keep the coach toasty with virtually no noise.

Nice that you have the air dump. As mentioned, it is on my list of to do's, kind of hoping someone develops a all in one kit for that. I can piece it together, just have not had the time or place to work on the unit.

I am not sure on the heating scheme for the XL. I am a bit of an old timer and prefer having propane on board. We tie right into the propane for outdoor grilling and with all the complaints I heard going into this on the non XL water heating system, I wanted the option to be able to place in a regular propane and electric tank system.

Not sure what I will do on my next unit. Could be talked into full electric. We are already looking/dreaming at the Cornerstone or Anthem 44W and the Tiffin 45 OPP.

Thinking out loud here, but since my EQLeveling System automatically dumps the air on my system, it seems like they should be able to give you the option to do that manually from their bluetooth app. That would be nice….

You can trace the wiring down for the EQLeveling System to tape into the brown wire (I believe, there is a thread on here somewhere) to automatically dump every time you hit autolevel. It sounds like if you taped into that brown wire it would work with the app as it is triggered by the auto level switch on the contril unit. You would just need to add in the valves and electronics to do this. That sounds like a nice solution, but there are some instances where the rear end is actually lower and I would not want the automatic dump. I believe I will wire mine to a switch on the dash.
