Thanks for adding me to this forum!!! I am the proud owner of a Jayco Eagle 31.5 RSTL. I cant wait to get it on the road!!!
before I do, I need to purchase a generator that will power everything including the 13,500 BTU a.c. unit!!! Have any suggestions???:

Welcome! The Honda EU3000i Handi looks like a great unit and is what I'm considering. A friend has an EU2000 series unit and swears by it, but it's not big enough to run the A/C.

Rob, Is the EU3000i enough if like the microwave was running and fridge and go to fire up the a.c. unit? I was told by my salesman that I needed at least 4500 watts for when the a.c. fired up while other power was being used? If the Honda EU3000i is enough, that would be great so I wouldn't have to load & unload a bigger heavier generator with my bad back!!! My back is fused and screws and rods from L2-L5, would like to keep the generator as small but efficient as possible and also keep the load lightest as possible also for best fuel economy!!! I'm new to this, just bought my 31.5 RLTS Jayco Eagle in November and haven't been able to get it on the road yet. But want to be prepared for everything, lol!!! Your experienced advice along with others on this site will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks again, Rick.

It might be pushing a 3000i a bit far to run the AC and Micro at the same time, but really how often does that happen? If you really both AC and Micro together getting to 2000i and a parallel kit may be better. certainly keep the weight down and on trips where no AC is needed a single 2000i will power everything else.

Rob, My salesman said to get at least a 4500 watt to be able to handle the start up while other items are being used??? I was wondering if 2- EU2000 with parallel cable would do it??? Thanks for your input, Rick

Clubhouse, thank you for your response, I'm just not certain if 2- EU2000 & EU2000i paralled together is still just 4000 watts correct??? Though that it takes atleast 4500 just to fire up the a.c.??? Thanks for the input, more thoughts are better than none!!! Rick.

The Salesman is right, if you try to start to many heavy loads at the same time it may overload.
As in anything there are trade offs, the 3000 Watt unit will handle the A/C, but it may not handle the A/C, Microwave and Water Heater on Electric at the same time, so just switch something off temporarily while using the Microwave.
The 3000 Watt unit is good for about 25 Amps, the parallel 2000 units are good for about 33 Amps.
(Watts / Voltage = Amps, example 3000 Watts / 120 Volts = 25 Amps)
The 13.5 A/C unit in the worst case will draw approx. 13 to 15 amps running, typically the running amps will be closer to 11 to 12 amps.

Not camping, but weather has been somewhere between Arctic Tundra and rain forest this week. A small portion of South Florida from about Ft. Pierce to Deerfield Beach received between 7 and 17 inches of rain yesterday.........and it's the 'dry' season down here...................
