So, after reading much discussion on mattress replacement, I figured I'd do a small writeup on what we did with pics.

We started out with the Denver. "Slept" on it one night in camp driveway and almost burned it! Next morning we bought a 4" memory foam topper from Wal Mart. This ended up being great! Fast forward almost 4 years into ownership, and we're starting to get hip, shoulder and back pains again. I had them first, then DW started complaining about it. With two multi-week trips coming up this year, I decided I wasn't having any of it and went on a hunt for a new mattress, and this is the one I found that looked like it would work the best for us considering budget, size and comfort:

We haven't slept on it yet, but we have 4 other mattresses from this brand in our house, and have no doubt this will be every bit as comfortable as those.

Pics of install attached. I will update in about a month after we've slept on it for 10 days in a row. The topper is going to be modified if needed and applied to my son's bunk in the rear of the trailer.

Great price! I think we need a mattress sticky with long term reviews.

We opted for an Aspen 2.0 from Denver Mattress. Definitely higher price, but it is working well for us.

Looks and sounds great. The only question I have is with the mattress at 52 pounds and foam layer build, how easy is it to lift up to get to the storage underneath?

Zinus is a good brand of mattress. We have a few of them in our house. All 3 are different thickness and models and they all sleep well.

I think mine is more like 90 lbs. You need to be deliberate, but the lifting arms do most of the work.

Someone asked me to do a long-term update on this mattress, so I will gladly oblige.

We don't camp what I would consider "a lot", so take that with a grain of salt. I said I was going to start tracking number of days, but I never did. I would guess we average 2 nights per month, maybe 3. That includes some longer, trips along with weekenders.

Anyway, the mattress is holding up just fine. My ONLY complaint is that it has remained quite firm. I expected it to "break in" a little, and that hasn't happened. It still sleeps just like the first night we used it. My solution for this is going to be to purchase a 2-3" topper for it. It just so happens Zinus has one of those too!! I just found it on Amazon this morning. I still like it A LOT, but I would like for it to be a little bit softer on top.

One other note, this mattress was moved from our old trailer into our new motor home. I did that on delivery day during PDI. The salesman came during PDI and asked where the mattress in my TT I was trading in was, and I pointed to the one in the MH I was standing in and said "right there". LOL!!

Also, the ones we installed in our S&B house are holding up just fine as well. My son's is the one that gets the most use, and it's just fine. But then, he's only less than 40 lbs!!

I'll throw in our .02 worth, on the Zinus mattress we bought last year. Our original mattress was ok (sort of) for a weekend. When we camped for the 14 day family get together, it became terrible! DW would wake up, barely able to move. So, off to Amazon, and we purchased a Zinus Ultima Comfort 10 inch. HUGE improvement. Almost like having a whole new TT. Now we can go two weeks without back and shoulder pain in the morning.

Add another zinus mattress to the club.
We slept in our new To us 26bhw and my back was worst after every night. The new mattress is night and day different
The only problem is that the new mattress is much heavier and think I need to add stronger or additional shocks underneath to help lift it
