Hey,

I've been looking at popup forums for a couple of days and really liked this one. I tent camped as a kid but my wife isn't fond of it so we haven't gone in a while. A coworker is selling his 2000ish Quest 10 so we borrowed it last summer and had a blast. She just didn't want to sleep in a tent. For our storage needs, the quest is a great size. It is in good shape for its age. Normal wear and tear. Canvas is in good shape. Looking forward to Memorial Day weekend! Already have a site reserved. The best part is that the wife and kids are excited too.

Thanks for the welcome everybody. Its in storage at the coworkers for this winter, but when it warms up I'm going to bring it home and do some mods to it before we head out. Not sure what I want to do yet, but I'm sure storage will be at the top of the list. I've already got some good ideas from JOF.

Welcome from Northwest Indiana. Where do you plan to go camping in Missouri? I have a daughter that is a grad student at Mizzou in Columbia and I'd appreciate any campground suggesstion that you might have.

MIZ...

Mostly state parks so far. Last year when we tested out the pup we went to Johnson Shut-inns. We have tented at Hawn and St Francois. We are going to Sam A Baker state park for Memorial day. I have heard that Cuiver River state park is nice. Not sure about the Columbia area. I ran in to some people from Illinois at St Francois and asked why they weren't camping in Illinois and they said that Missouri state parks were all really nice and they preferred them over Illinois parks. His words not mine. Everybody I have run into says that they are taken care very well. Not sure about the private C.G's. What about Indiana? I know a couple of people from the Gary area that we were going to camp with, but haven't been able to meet up yet.

Indiana has many good SP campgrounds. Near us is Potato Creek State Park and Indiana Dunes SP. Other good campgrounds we frequent are at Turkey Run SP, Brown County SP, Tippecanoe SP. But our experience is that most Indiana SP campgrounds are nice and well maintained. Happy Camping.
