Howdy!
After several years of renting an RV for a specific function each summer (delivered and set up for us), we decided to take the plunge and get our own. First, we located our tow vehicle ('03 F250 2wd CC SB w/7.3l w/low miles). Then we started shopping. We had a good idea what we wanted since we have rented a variety of trailers over the years. Found a 2007 Jayco 275BHS 5th wheel locally. Deal included a Superglide 15K.
First trip was 2 days after taking possession and to an urban camping location in San Antonio. Previous owners had used it just a couple of weeks before and had it in for routine service at dealer so we felt comfortable taking it.
Our history of rental had us fairly prepared for all but the towing and setup, but we were camping among friends. Truck handled it like a dream and the week went off without any problems.
Looking forward to more good outings as it gets cooler this fall.
