Again hi to all. MY family is new to this travel trailer gig... always been a back woods tent kinda guy, but the upcoming camping season in a tent, with a 12 month old, a 4 year old and a 2 1/2 year old chocolate lab gave me nightmares... anyway i hope to learn many, many travel trailer ins and outs from all you seasoned pros, to guide me:lightbulb:... along my families many trips;).

Thanks all, and happy travel trails.

Welcome to Jayco Owners Forums. Wow, there are a bunch of Canadians on these posts...Jayco must be big in Canada. It also seems like quite a few of us have started out in tents. I think you will find many friendly folks in these forums and a lot of experience and someone that can give you answers to your questions.

Welcome aboard......

Welcome to the forum skylerker. Lots of friendly and knowledgable people here to answer any of your questions or offer advice.

We got a Jayco 21 FKV Skylark, for many reasons the biggest were space -open concept, quality, its under 3500, storage and the amount it sleeps.

The other trailer that was in the running was a Visa Gulfstream for the same reasons, but the open feeling of these Skylarks was a no brainer.

Welcome, and happy trails.
Really enjoy the forum, great people who are honest about sharing their thoughts on rv's. A friend of mine once said "There is so much I don't know", and being in this forum has illustrated that as far as I am concerned. Learned so much and owe much gratitude to members in here.
Enjoy, and most of all Good Luck.

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum Skylerker!!! This is a Jayco specific forum with more of a family feel to it (no cliques as you see in general rv forums!). These same members love to share their experience/advice/humor to help out others with all kinds of questions. Definitely post when you're looking for input. Congrats on the upgrade! You will definitely love it :)

Welcome Skylerker I live in Abbotsford, so it is good to have a neighbour(that's how we spell it in Canada) here.

Welcome fellow canucker. Where abouts in vancouver do you reside? My sister used to live on 12th ave, nice little stroll to kitts beach, or granville island. We have been there about 6 times to and must say that i realy enjoy every visit. She is in richmond now. Last time we were there we drove out from manitoba and met them at cultus lake for a week. That was very nice.

Hey Chilly, we were in richmond, for about 15 years, but have just recently moved out to Chilliwack, slower life style with more outdoor active life style. So we are loving chilliwack, but do more driven as family and stuff still out in Richmond.

Have you ever been to cultis lake or the water park there? Bridal falls is another place we stayed at, man that campground was mint. Felt like we didn't belong there beside the huge 5th wheels and motorhomes in our dinky tent, and our minivan.

We have just got back into camping and have been going to Washinton State Parks, great campsite and very reasonable rates. Birch Bay, Deception Pass, Fort Ebey and Racar State park. They have online reservations as well.

Hello Skylerker, it's good to know there are more of us out there with the Skylark!! Purchased our the end of Oct, we LOVE IT, we were on a bumpy road coming back this past weekend and our friends that were behind us in their RV were surprised how well it did!

Hope you enjoy yours as much as we do!

As my old hero, John Diefenbaker, would have said - Welcome, my fellow Canadian!":p I am a newbie to the forum and to trailering. I drove a transport as a young guy, but that was many moons ago.

This forum is a great place to learn and share, and as the moderator said, it doesn't get clicky. Enjoy!!
