Just got our hands on a 2004 Qwest 8U. The wife and kids are also very excited for our upcoming adventures and we even broke it in last weekend near Dana Point. Need to figure out a few things (lighting pilot light and LP alarm when running the heater) and need to find some parts (stove leg pole for outside use and some awning poles) but it seems pretty close to complete. Great little camper for our family and my subaru barely knows it's back there.

Thanks,

Gerrit

Welcome to the forum!! Glad you found us.

My suggestion on the Propane alarm is to replace it. Being that old it has probably reached its effective life. Hopefully it is a false signal, but it is definitely not something to ignore! If you dont have a "fresh" CO detector, it would be time for that as well.

Again - Welcome! Terry

Not sure exactly what kind of outside stove you have that needs a leg, but if it's a grill of some kind, I made one once out of an old auto wheel rim, with a steel pole welded to the grill, which could be inserted into the center of the rim. I welded a short sleeve into the rim, so that the grill pole just slid down into it, and was removable for travel. Just a thought.
