Just wanted to pop in here and introduce myself. We own a 2000 Jaco Eagle 5th wheel 285BH. It has the soft siding. We are the second owner. It's the first unit I've owned that had the soft siding. I've camped in this unit since it was new. A friend owned the unit and was forced to sell it. We didn't hesitate. We've had the unit in Colorado elk hunting. One year it survived a five below zero blizzard! Some of you have had the experience of thawing ice off the slide out so it can be moved in for transport. More on that fun time later. :D

We like the unit especially for the bunk bed layout. Guests can go to sleep while others can still occupy the living and kitchen area. We call Tulsa OK, home. Looking forward to many years of RV adventures.

I'll be glad to share what I know and will look forward to learning more.

Awesome (Elk hunting)... I had fun once bicycling up in elk territory. Saw a family of elk, they looked at me, I looked at them, they looked at me, and I retreated quickly! LOL Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum! We bought the bunk unit we have so our grandkids could join us. Definitely come back and share your adventures with us. Enjoy your new Jayco! :)
