What is the general go-to on parts for these?

Sorry about the rotation in these photos . . .

Finally made the jump and found this gem on Craigslist.

<iframe width="910" height="512" src="
" title="2001 Jayco Qwest" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>

- 1100 lb dry weight
- Floor intact, no rot (pop ups are notorious for rotted floors)
- Barely any surface rust on frame
- inside stove
- Outside BBQ stove
- No rips or tears in cover or cushions
- Canopy, never used
- Screen room, never used
- Change room/ potty room, never used
- EasygoNow potty, bags
- All appliances barely used
- Icebox (may replace with fridge)
- Propane heater with thermostat
- Almost full propane tank
- All running lights work
- Original owner's manual and clean title

Needs minor hardware tweaks, bad drawer latch, door could use a little love but it works, missing one 50 cent piece for the middle canopy rod, probably needs tires, these are 22 years old. Going to run through the undercarriage with grease. Possibly wheel bearings but not showing any signs of problems.

$1100.

Ad said $1200, I told the guy "Not even going to dicker." He says "Okay then, $1100 is my final offer." :-D

Considering new ones start at around 7 grand I think we did well. An irony message from the universe: we were leaving the house to go look at this one and checked the mail before we left the house. There's a letter from the mortgage company . . . refund on Escrow overpayment. Guess how much the check was? :-D

Sweet little popup for a great price Ryan!!!!!!!!

Seeing your introduction post and you being a web developer, I'm sure you can see that this website, still using vBulletin, is waaaaaaaay out dated.

That's one of the big issues with posting pictures and having them turn sideways. LOL

Thanks, yeah and it doesn't support youtube link auto-embed. I tried to fix it and my post went missing, then it was replied to so it can no longer be edited to remove the attempt at auto embed (also from the old version.) I did a lot of VB and BB work in my time.

Oh well. Neck exercises FTW! :p

Thanks Grumpy, and yes I've been to that site (and a couple dozen others.) They don't list any inventory that I can see. Just returning from an authorized Jayco dealer as well. "We don't have it but we can order it. " Yeah I can too, usually, when the site has their inventory online.

The only thing really wrong so far is this guy is broken. Is there a good upgrade for it? I can get one for around $52 but if I have to spend that much I'd rather get an upgraded one that might last a few seasons. Mount hole is about 1.75" but I can drill it out. I really don't want to go the electric pump route, K.I.S.S. :-D

With a rig that old, especially a pop-up since they are no longer in production, you will be hard pressed to find any parts in stock. Only other possible source would be Bontragers in MI. You may get lucky there since they're a surplus store.

Also remember the pump handle has to clear the roof when it's down, unless your sink folds over.

Oh man! I JUST sold one much like it, the original pump faucet from my Dutchmen pop-up. I had removed the sink and faucet last summer. The model I sold is not available anymore and mine was still it great shape.

I think you can still find that particular model on Amazon: $44

BTW you got a greta deal on the pop-up and it looks so cute! Mine was very similar size. Be sure to give everything a good oiling/lubing. Your cables lift posts, etc. And if your tenting is vinyl coated, get some 303 protectant for vinyl and give it all a good polishing.

Here is a link to Jayco's 2001 Folding Camping Trailer Owner’s Manual.

This one came with a manual, I can't believe it people are hawking these on eBay for up to $45 LOL . . . . it came with all the service records including the axle manual, a good sign it was well attended.

That one in particular is sold in a lot of places for around $50. It's plastic and the spout/pump is broken, kinda cheap, I'd like to find an upgraded one but not seeing anything,

It does fold over but thank you, all the tips I can get!

Thank you and yes, I pulled off the hubs yesterday and the bearings appear to have been recently packed. Silicon spray on hand for the telescope lifts and bed rails. The crank is slightly sticky, going to crawl under today and grease up all the zerks.

Congratulations on a nice deal! We remember our popup with some considerably fond and horrifying memories. : )

Much of RV ownership has to involve updates, maintenance, innovations, modifications. Good chance to build a trailer into exactly what you want. I have over 50 tweaks, additions, mods on my 16XRB and what started as a basic prototype from Thorjayco became a custom trailer that fits us exactly right in every way. With some work (hope you enjoy that aspect of trailer ownership) you will have a super nice rig.

Good luck! Hope it brings you many good memories!

I replaced the original with a new one, $45, connected all, checked for leaks, pumped like no tomorrow and no water. I wanted to run down and buy an electric pump, wife and I had the discussion I'm sure you're all familiar with about throwing money at it . . . since we'll just be using this sink for dishes, I came up with a simple fix.

Put a fuel priming bulb about 6" from the fill tank. The one I got is not omnidirectional, which will help when I drain the lines.

You have to pump in the direction of the sink with the valve open (up) using the same squeeze motion used when milking a cow. Takes about 2 minutes to get the water far enough up the line and voila, water pumps to sink now. In operation the bladder fills with water and contracts when you pump the faucet, makes it a little easier for this cheap faucet to work.

The fittings are a little small so I slid the original hose over them with a little of the skinnier hose left on, secured with zip ties, $7 fix.
