We are absolutely jazzed to have our new Jay Flight 23MB Elite with the new black trim sitting in the driveway!

Quite a journey over the last few months, including cancelling an order on a X213 after discovering the 23MB online and ordering without seeing it in person:eek:. None was available locally to go through before hand so went through a 23MBH noted the differences in person/online and went for it.

23MB -

What we love

  1. I'm 6'5" tall and I absolutely love being able to walk around the whole trailer without ducking or even feeling like I might hit something.
  2. 1/2 ton pulls it easily and with the equalizer 10K Equal-i-zer® 4-Point Sway Control attached I hardly know it's there.
  3. 4200 pounds dry/425 tongue with every option available besides outdoor grille and chill-n-store came in weighing 4700/485 with 2 full 30 gallon propane tanks.
  4. Love the layout - murphy bed, huge dinette, 2 huge 6'4" x 4' bunks rated to 600lbs:rolleyes:, 8 cu ft fridge is huge and other elite upgrades worth the extra charge.
  5. Dual 3500lb axles are well above the capacity we will ever load it to
  6. 34% of MSRP was just icing on the trailer:D
  7. Tongue to bumper 6'10" so should fit into almost every campground
  8. Electric awning with LED strip is pretty darn cool and lights it up amazingly
We don't love but -

  1. 6'2"L x 5' murphy bed - we added a 2 inch topper to the bed which levels it with the storage at the head of the bed and really turns the bed into a 6'8"L bed, works great after some trial and error.
  2. Taller shower would be nice, but it's doable when needed.

We also decided on the aluminum siding over the fiberglass for -

  1. 400-500 lbs less weight
  2. No worries on delamination
  3. Much less cost to fix if sides are damaged
  4. Fiberglass looks a little better and easier to clean, but can't have it all

Always hard to find something which fits whether it's trailers, cars, trucks, shoes or anything else:facepalm: so hope this helps a few tall guys make a decision

Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful threads which helped us tremendously

Welcome to the forum! Great comments too! We've ordered the same model recently and I enjoyed reading all your tips for us tall folks (6'4 here). Have fun with your new trailer and oh yeah, post some pics! :D

We recently ought at 2016 23MB as well. We have camped twice so far. Overall, we are very pleased with the TT.

We find the skylight is a great feature; the inside of the trailer is very bright even on cloudy days. We like the simplicity and weight savings of no slides. The two kids love having their own large bunks. The trailer is a decent tow with our 2010 F150. The outside fridge and the bumper barbecue are nice features (We still use a separate outdoor propane Coleman stove for most cooking. We never cook on the inside stove top. We do use the inside oven... and microwave. Is it still camping if you have a microwave?.) We had a few small warranty issues, nothing major and all par for the course with a new trailer. The dealer took care of them quickly and well.

This is a perfect trailer for first time TT owners who have one or two kids. It has all the modern conveniences, is solidly built, reasonably light, and decently sized. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we are enjoying ours.

We recently got the same trailer, and our family just loves it! 3rd trip coming up in 2 weeks... Need to get a mattress topper though, lol! Had fun cooking outside off the bumper, sitting in a chair, with Dads special fridge in reach...

No towing issues so far, our '14 Ram 1500 handles it like a champ, I know it's there, but can take the hills with no problems

Have fun!
