New to Camping this past Summer. Kind of a rough start with hot water tank trouble and weather but we know much more to be ready for next Summer!!!

Welcome to Jayco Owner's Forum from New Hampshire.
Which camper did you select and if you are you towing it, what is your tow vehicle.
Since we live in the cold country, we spend our winters camping down south.

I notice you're in Elvira New York. There are excellent campgrounds all over New England to visit in the summers. Do you have some plans to visit Vermont, New Hampshire and/or Maine as well as New York destinations?

There's definitely a learning curve. I try to take it all in stride. There's nothing you can't tackle if you just don't panic and take your time looking at the problem. Often, coming to this forum is your lifeline.

This was also my first summer with my new camper. I graduated from a pop-up. I had water leak issues on my first three trips. Enough to make me an anxious sleeper about when and where it was gonna happen, but once I tackled each leak, I felt more confident.

I often camp with my daughter and often my sister. When my sister and I felt ourselves getting stressed, we'd declare "Everything's Fine!" and repeat it until we got over the anxious hump.

It happened so often on our first few trips, I decided is what I would name my camper.

I spent my first summer camping locally, within 45 minutes from home. Next summer I have local trips planned but hope to go a little further out. I'm still working full time, so it's easier doing the local runs.

We both have next season to look forward to. Welcome!
