I just put a deposit on a new 2012 Swift SLX 184BH trailer. I was hopping to have it a couple of weeks but the dealer told me he was speaking to the factory and it won't be in until late August. He is looking for one at another dealer.

I hope I will be camping this year.

Welcome to the forum bender and congrats on your 'almost' 2012 Swift SLX 184BH trailer. Hope your dealer finds one for you.

Hey Bender! Welcome to the Jayco Forums. We have several members here with new Swifts. Let us know when it gets here, in the mean time - post away ;)

Hey, "bender", we visited our dealer interested in a new 2012 5th wheel and they said the one that we wanted wouldn't be in until August, however, they were able to call the factory and get us one that another dealer had ordered (but it had not been spoken for). It came in last week.
If they know you are serious (or maybe give a deposit) there's obviously ways to get them quicker.

Thanks for the advice PrellFamily. I did put my 10% deposit on the trailer and Kyle @ City Auto RV in NH seems to be working hard to find me one. I hope I am as lucky as you.

I got it! We left Halifax @ 1:00 PM yesterday and stayed in Bangor for the night. We were back on the road by 7:00 AM this morning and made it to Newport NH by 12:00. Kyle @ City Auto RV and his tech had us on the road by 1:00 and we made it to Birch Point Camp Ground in Island Falls NE just as it was getting dark. It looks really nice here and I'm sad I won't have a chance to explore it in the day light.

I was a little nervous towing a 20' trailer with my Mitsubishi Outlander for the first time and having to travel through heavy traffic and doing it for 7.5 hours but it actually towed very nicely. I think I hit a home run with my WD hitch and sway control (Thank you to RV Life Style Magazine). When a tractor trailer went by I felt it but there was no sway.

My TV got 18.0 L/100 km ( I usually get 9 L/100km) but I expected that. I would get 13.5 L/100km towing my tent trailer. I kept my speed at 100 kph (62MPH).

First impressions of the trailer are I love it. Very easy to manoeuvre and I am loving the lay out. I had the RV dealer add front jacks and Max Air roof vents thanks to the comments from previous posts.

Once I am home tomorrow I will try and remember to post pics.
