New (to me) Jayflight - CO2/LP monitor

Hi gang. We just picked up a 2004 JayFlight and coming from the tent camping world, we have tons of questions. Many have already been answered by reading your posts. Thank you for that.
My first question has to do with CO2 and LP alarms. Our trailer currently doesn't have one and I know the importance of them.
I don't really want to hard wire one, so hopefully there is a good one that runs on self contained batteries.
What model do you guys suggest? Thank you.

How about one that plugs into a 115 volt outlet versus hard wired?

I have searched quite a bit and have never found a propane detector that runs off anything other than 12 volt or AC.

If the 12 volt is on due to a battery being connected or the RV is plugged into AC the propane and CO detector is working. This is good as you might spring an LP leak while traveling or boondocking.

My suggestion is that you try to find a 12 volt source and run a wire to somewhere you can mount the LP/CO RV model which will protect you while boondocking and traveling.

This one uses 120V and has a 9V battery for backup.
