Hello,
My name is matt (form responds hi matt). I am a new travel trailer owner. We purchased a jayco feather 165. Not too thrilled with it the for 3 times we took it out as it went back to the dealer with major issues
1. ac/dc converter was not charging the battery
2. fridge stopped working
3. over flow tube was not all the way tight and flooded the front section of the trailer
4. mold when delevered on the roll out awning

soo initial experience is not the best but i am making it work. Makes the wife happy.
We live near sacramento ca and am doing the local things around here at this time. I work as a database administrator so time away from the office is nice but crazy when i am camping and have to find a local free wifi hotspot to login and fix issues. A local mcdonalds actually works best.
Oh my screen name comes from my hobby i am into Pontiac Fieros so much that it makes my wife gag when she has to go to car shows.

Unfortunately many new TTs have some "bugs" in the beginning, but at least you have bought from a good mfg who will take care of you. Once you have them all sorted hopefully that you can concentrate solely on camping!

I have been around rv peeps for awhile and sadly it is not uncommon for many new TTs of ANY mfg to have some kinks to work out in the beginning.

Hi Matt,

Welcome to the forum. I too have a Jay Feather 165, and while I didn't have the same problems you did, there were a few glitches with mine:

1. Only one out of the 4 power outlets in the trailer worked, which made things quite inconvenient.
2. Apparently, one of the water hose/pipe fittings came loose, causing some water to pool up underneath the sink.
3. I couldn't get the collar on dumping hose, so I had to postpone using the black tank until this got fixed.
4. The screws on a steel bracket underneath the trailer (which holds some kind of junction box) snapped, so I had to use wire to hold it in place until going in for service.

Since those items have been fixed, things have worked well and I have no complaints. Also, the rig seems solid and it's well put together.

Hope things get better from here on out.
