No 12v power in the trailer

I have a 2008ish (can't remember exactly) Jayco Jay Series 1006. I'm not getting any power from my battery.

I have replaced the 12v fuses on the panel inside the trailer and the one at the battery. My battery is also charged and working.

Does anyone have any ideas what else I can try myself before I take the trailer in to the dealer? Is there a switch or fuse or something somewhere else (maybe at the breakaway switch?) that I can check relatively easily?

This hasn't been a huge problem, as we only camp at places where we'll be hooked up to power anyway, but it's still something I'd like to resolve!

Since the battery has power and fuses seem OK, I'd check the battery ground next. There have been a few posts indicating that can be a problem.

if you have a volt meter I would check at the back of the power supply to see if you have 12 volts there. If not I would suspect either the ground connection or a open wire.

I've had the trailer 3 years now, and no, this hasn't always been a problem. It started last year I think reconnected the battery in the spring. I probably shorted something out somewhere....

For checking the battery ground, I assume that's the white wire that connects to the negative terminal of my battery? Do I just follow that to wherever it terminates?

I would check all exposed wiring under the camper for any damage done by squirrels etc. Then check all interior wiring for damage. Again check at the power supply for 12 volts. If you don't have 12 V at the power supply, you could then check for continuity on the wires from the battery to the power supply Make sure your meter is on the ohm scale and your battery is disconnected when checking for continuity. You most likely will need to use some extra wire to be able to check for continuity.

Yes I would follow the wires and see where they both terminate because anybody could have replaced wires and the one you think is the negative / ground wire may actually be the positive wire. my last trailer someone had replaced wires and I had a blue wire and a brown wire so I had to figure which one was which then I marked them .

Thanks for the quick replies. All things I will check. Is it possible there's a reset switch somewhere for the 12v system that I may have tripped and need to reset? I've read about these on other trailers for the 12v systems.

not sure if you have a reset switch. One other possibility is there may be a fuse internal on the converter that is blown It is easy to replace but would require you to remove the converter and take it apart. I have done that to an older starcraft camper for a friend. Before you go much further see if you can post the brand and model number of the converter. With that information it should be easy to obtain a manual for the converter.

Some Pop Ups have two different switches you may have to locate. One was for a fold over sink and the other for ensuring all lights were off when the top was folded down. See if you have either of these and they are not defective. All it takes is one or the other to go bad.

I thought there was a switch on the front of the converter charger to go between, 12 volt shore power (converter) and battery. Or there was on some of the older ones.
