Noisy Popout Solutions

We are light sleepers and, at times, the campground can be noisy in the evening. Does anyone have any clever suggestions on how to insulate the popout? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!

I remember seeing some cold weather blanket attachments to help keep the heat in. Maybe they help with noise?

No help at all and I use them in cold weather. I can't think of anything that would help with the noise.

White noise helps. You can create your own white noise tracks fairly easy if you prefer not to travel with a white noise generator. In addition to the typical white noise, I copied tracks of rain, water running, and ocean waves onto my iPod and a flash drive. The tracks are about 15 minutes each. I set the player up to repeat the track(s) so it plays continually until it's stopped.

exact reason we went with the 184bh. Hardside and has everything we need but most important we can fit in all the small mountain spots we want

If the CG is noisy, we just put the air conditioner's fan. It gives enough white noise to cover the party folks (unless they are right next to the trailer!).

Same, we use fan noise inside to insulate us from outside noise.

With respect to the fan: Does it run off the battery and how much does it use if left on overnight?

I have a brand new 12VDC battery that is in great condition and fully charged when I begin my boondocking. Any ideas on how much degradation of the battery will occur if I leave the fan on all night?

As to noise, not sure what can be done to quiet pop out sleepers. I just mark it up to the adventures of public camping. The best thing would simply be to head outside, meet with them, and enjoy some good conversation with a set of new friends you just made.
