Not sure who needs to hear this, but in 54 days we start gaining daylight again.

Also, in 54 days you are in danger of buying Christmas gifts from the gas station….again….

I needed to hear it. I hate going to work when it is dark and getting home when it is dark.

I had to adjust the timer for the lights at the entrance of our church again today and this weekend adjust the timer back an hour for the return to Eastern Standard Time.

At home, I have timers that automatically adjust for the EST/DST changes and can turn lights on/off based on when sunrise/sunset occurs. However, the timers tend to lose/gain their time of day accuracy and I have to reset them to the correct time.

In the old days of computers making those standard time/daylight savings time changes was a pain. I worked for a computer outsourcing company and we had computers from companies all over the place housed at our facility in Pittsburgh (EST). However, the computer for that company was set to the time zone they were located at, not Pittsburgh time.

X2! I love it when the sun is up at 530, and just still light out at 9pm.

It is so hard to get outdoor chores done now that it is dark:(.

DST is actually optional for most states. It benefited farmers back in the day, why do we still observe it? All it does is move an hour of daylight from morning to evening. Never did agree with DST in modern day.
