On board water pump

After changing to dry camping at water controls, when I turn on the water pump water comes out the hose fill. Does anyone know if there is a one way valve behind the hose connector?

Check the cone screen attached to the washer. Is it pointing in? Then it is holding the check valve open.

That screen is usually flipped to help winterizing since the pump cannot always overcome the spring tension.

Checked that all was ok, I think it’s probably the check valve I I’ll change it

If there's a center pin visible take a needle nose and pull on it, maybe it's stuck.

As a temporary solution, you could use one of these and then keep it for winterizing your system when\if you use air to winterize.

I keep one in my RV all of the time, but I haven't had the issue you have had, but if I did I would use it until I had more time to check the check valve as I agree with others in regards to the check valve not checking. ~CA

It was a defective check valve replaced it and al is well
