Oops, disaster averted

I hooked up the black tank flush and got distracted. Minutes later, I'm perplexed by a buzzing noise in the bathroom. WTF is buzzing? Pulled everything out, still a buzzing...

Finally the neuron fires.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flew out the door, hit the water off with the lefty hand and pulled the black tank drain with the right.

The water had come up to an inch or two of the top of the bowl...

Wow! Crisis averted! Distractions are baaaad.

The thought of water in my camper makes me lose sleep.

I'm a nurse working an extremely chaotic and busy unit of 64 patients, 32 of them being mine. I am CONSTANTLY distracted. I've had my close calls (nothing life threatening, but things that could be problematic) and each time I breathe a sigh of relief.

I set an alarm, and refuse to go more than 6 ft from the area when I'm flushing the tank.

We pulled up to dump station. I dumped and turned water on to flushking full blast with valve closed. Then the wife started saying something. Dummie me, I went around and inside. She started talking about something, and after a little while, we heard a noise. I looked down and water started coming up in that tiny bath sink. I jumped down the three steps, ran around and pulled the black handle. Wife said got 1” from top of rim. Very nasty mess in the sink. Important part “NASTY IN THE SINK”. So, same as Pconroy!
