Hi all,

I bought a standard MaxAir vent cover for my bathroom vent before I realized they made one (twice as much cost) specifically for the high flow fan in the bathroom.

Should I try to return it and get the high flow one or just install the standard I now have?

I know the high flow hinges for "maintenance" but it doesn't seem too difficult to remove the standard if I had to. What do you all think. I'm a "get the right one" kind of guy but am leaning in just putting the standard one on.

Thanks,

Mark Fisk

I have the standard MaxAir cover over my bath vent and it has worked just fine for 6 years. The only thing I did was remove the screen from the MaxAir cover to reduce high flow fan back pressure. Plus the larger MaxAir cover extended over my stink pipe.... not a good condition.

I honestly dont think you will notice that much difference.

Did you upgrade the fan in the bathroom or did Jayco stop putting that little dinky fan in there and go to something that actually moves the air?

Now that's funny.

Just this past weekend my sister used my TT bathroom (my '05' Eagle came with the high flow fan) and she turned the fan on. She commented that it about sucked all the breathing air out of the bathroom!

Well, my sister is use to her '05' Jayco 23B fan, and it came with the "little dinky fan" that acts as a white noise machine.

I added the TurboMaxx - which is the combo fan/cover -- wow what a difference. I sure wish Jayco would also spend the few extra dollars and add a second roof hatch on the forward section of the Jayflights.

Done - used the original as I also found the stink-pipe vent probably too close for the larger one. Thanks for all the input everyone...and for saving me $40.

Terry,

On my '05' Eagle Jayco put three roof vents in TT....., living room, bathroom, and front bedroom. Don't know if they are still doing it on the newer Eagles.
