Has anyone removed the dual burner cooktop on their outdoor kitchen and upgraded to anything else? I’d like to put a griddle in place of it but wanted to see if it’s doable.

This should be easy to do. Measure the spot where you would like your flat top to go and search on Amazon. I’ve changed so many things on our 2017 26BH. With a little ingenuity anything is possible.

What year and model camper do you have?

Generally speaking, most outdoor kitchens are setup similarly. One thing to note, if you plan ise on board propane, you will not need the regulator that comes with the stove/griddel.

It’s a 2017 Jay Feather 25BH. I bought a griddle on Amazon and can quick connect straight to the camper.

I like the convenience of a griddle in the kitchen space (I don't have one built in, but camper came with the 17" griddle.) I found that the griddle itself is pretty insignificant, doesn't heat well, evenly or provide enough surface area for much food. the griddle itself is much more shallow in width than a Blackstone brand and the sides of the plate or not high enough to be efficient during cooking.

I realized the space was best for all the stuff I like to have for grilling and instead have a portable Blackstone. I initially thought it'd be too heavy and bulky, so used a portable Weber gas grill, but found myself missing the flat top cooking. I found a really good deal on a 22" Balckstone on FB Marketplace. Turns out, it's not that heavy and stores/fits nicely in my front passthrough. I love having both to use...as I like to grill and I like the flat top for a lot of other stuff.

I added a 2 way splitter to my camper's propane quick connect. when I go out and set up for extended stay I set them both up (Weber traveler/Blackstone Adventure Ready) so I can chose which one I need. It might seem excessive to some, but I like to use them and I also have a sister who loves to cook. She comes camping with me and makes all kinds of good food. You can't use them both at one time, but at least I don't have to move hoses.
