outside cable connector

I have an slx195rb unfortunately it didn't come with an outside cable TV hookup and I don't like running it through a window. I have one but I really don't know the best place to install has anyone done this? if so where did you put it

I've never personally done it, but I would think near the shore power pass-through would work good, since you should have access to what it looks like on the inside of the trailer.

well i took the plunge, its really hard to drill that first hole in the side of your TT, the bottom connector is new for cable and the top is the antenna

For sure its nerve racking to drill a hole in the wall of your rv. Easiest way to avoid problems is to find a wall where there is already a thru wall installed. Look where your pigtail thru wall is located. That will pretty much always be a safe area to drill. You may have to open a panel under a cabinet to get access to the area where your pigtail is stowed when it is pushed back inside the rv. I installed a 2nd cable input thru the wall where the water fill lines entered under my bathroom vanity. Drilled the hole and then routed the coax up an interior wall and installed a connection plate behind where the sat receiver would be located. You can buy the thru wall kit from Amazon for around $10. You may need to order the correct size hole drill bit as it is, for some unknown reason, not a common size found in most hole drill kits. The actual install is drop dead simple and you will end up with a professional coax input just like found on most RV's.

The key to a safe install is to find a safe place to drill. Look for clues and avoid wall studs and wiring. That's pretty easy when you look inside and drill where the other inputs are installed. Start out with a 1/2" hole thru the inside wall and then stick in a wire to fiddle around to feel for wiring etc. Then drill out the bigger hole. You will also need the proper sealant to seal up the install.
