Outside Mounting Question

Hi All,
I have a question with regards to mounting something to the outside of the camper. I have a X19H. I've been thinking of mounting this on the outside wall http://www.amazon.com/Brabantia-375842-Wallfix-Mounted-Rotary/dp/B000NTDDL6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410193759&sr=8-1&keywords=brabantia+wallfix

I am not sure structurally where to do this or if I even can. Has anyone mounted something to their camper like this (or anything else)? What is behind the fiberglass? If I am not sure, I am not doing it!

with just aluminum studs covered by fibreglass I wouldn't attempt it personally.

neat dryer but also the torque that could be inflicted on that one mount with clothes in the wind I think wouldn't be good

I contacted Jayco CS before mounting a rear ladder on my 5th wheel and they sent me the back wall schematic showing the blocking locations. Without the wood block locations I wouldn't mount anything on the exterior. There's just not much there.
 
A ladder that is static though and a clothes dryer flexing with the wind are 2 different animals though. Just keep that in mind

It doesn't look like it could come off so it would have to be a permanent mount on the side of the trailer. Maybe you could attach it to the tongue jack somehow and remove it in transit

Amazon also carries pole mounted clothes line dryers. Maybe you could use one of them, mounted on a tripod.

I'm with nbhybrid on this one. I would be very concerned about the stress that could be placed on the sidewall by the weight of the wet items and any wind.

Good call nbhybrid. I have installed 2 of the exact units, one on a basement framed wall and the other on a 4x4 post exterior that required a jack leg in front to keep the post at a 90. There is too much torque on the rack for any wall on any tt or rv due to the weight of the wet clothing etc and wind. In my opinion it would lead to other large problems. Not worth it.
 
or just run a rope from awning arm to awning arm and you have a great line plus it is under some cover if it starts to rain. That's what I do
