We have just purchased our first RV. It's 2018 Jayco Precept 32R. The outside TV will not work. It comes on, but says input error. We have checked all the connections and the box inside the RV Everything seems to be hooked up correctly. Any suggestions?

Is this on the antenna input? I assume that the other TVs are showing a picture and the antenna booster is on. Have you tried plugging in an HDMI cable to it and switch inputs to see if the tv works that way?

Maybe unplug all connections and reboot it. Lastly, the input error seems that the TV realizes that there’s an issue. If it was a bad signal cable, then the picture would just be garbled or unclear. I would try another input source, like hdmi.

Am I correct to assume that the other TVs are working ok on the OTA setting? I would also sonsider grabbing the DVD p[layer from the living room or bedroom if so equiped and an HDMI cable and changing input sources to see if that works. Could be the coax cable for the OTA is not connected or has been damaged in the run from the antenna amplifier to that TV.

Almost seems like a TV issue. Most new flat screens will show a "no signal" message when there is an input issue. Can you change the input from the TV menu?

Keep in mind Jayco chose to use low end manufacturers for the Precept line. I had them change out all three of my Flat screens to Samsung. The original Sakai brand had no digital cable tuners and would not work on many campground cable systems.

i got all my TV working - I had to go into the menu and scan for channels. They all work now on the root antenna. I got my wally working when hooked directly into the outside TV. Have not had any look hooking the DISH playmaker to the outside and getting it to play to the inside TV's -

Jan, The Entegra Vision 31V which is the same as the Jayco Allante has a RG6 coax from the outside jack in the wetbay to the main TV in the livingroom. On my coach this is a grey coax with a yellow stripe. Mine was actually behind the false panel which had to be removed to get it out and plug it to the wally. I'm including a schematic drawing for my coach, yours will likely differ, and I recommend contacting Jayco Motorized Customer Support (1-800-517-9137 1,1,1, and have yout VIN) to get a copy of yours to be 100% sure. However my assumption is that its likely similar.

If you find the grey RG6 coax with yellow tip and connect it to the wally and connect the playmaker to the satellite in at the wet bay, it should work properly.

From there you will need to do some other gyrations to get the satellite to the other TVs. Let's get this step next and then we can move onto that.
