Our Eagle 330rsts is less than 2 years old. The brown is fading at the top of nose. What is best way to get Jayco to repaint ? What happened to quality ? Prefer not to take back to dealer. 250 miles away. Would Jayco accept pictures without dealer getting a look?

JAYCO buys the caps from a 3rd party. They had issues a few years ago with the browns fading, as did other RV manufacturers. Use the contact page and see what they say.

Is there a dealer closer that could assist with warranty submission? Jayco stepped up after the two years for my front cap repaint. I originally sent my dealer photos but took it in later for them to photo and submit. I scheduled the work for late season so as not to miss trips. Still the autobody shop that did the work was fast. I had them repaint in white.

I believe this will fall under “acts of Mother Nature”. No corporation will put themselves on the hook, unless they have a service bulletin or a specific paint warranty.

Daylight/moonlight, rain, and 1g of gravity is part of nature and would be included under intended use.

An "act of nature" when described under insurance or warranty is a flood, hurricane, earthquake, etc.

I think paint faded in less than 2 years is a defect.

I think it’s best to read the Terms & Conditions the owner signs when making a TT purchase. Anything extra beyond the T&C’s is pure luck.

Unless they made a major design change it's not paint it's gel coat. As I stated earlier the caps come from a third party and they had the same issue several years ago. JAYCO was not the only company with the problem.

Terms and conditions have nothing to do with it.

Here's one of the old threads.

Then this issue is tied to a general or confidential service bulletin like I said earlier. Ask the dealer, they are required to disclose. If there is no service bulletin then it’s the luck of the draw for coverage.

Without a SB the manufacturer is obligated to nothing, and posts on forums is not the best approach to a resolution outside of the factory warranty.

Maybe with cars and trucks, but not RV's.. Apples and oranges.

If you are the original owner and are still in warranty Jayco will most likely step up and pay for a paint job. Contact the dealer you bought from and try to start the ball rolling with photos. You could also check with closer dealers to see if one of them would cover the warranty claim (most seem reluctant or flat refuse if you didn’t buy there). You could also contact Jayco directly and see if they would work with you and a local body/paint shop.
The main thing is to get the ball rolling before your warranty meter reads zero.
