Hey All! Having a noise above passenger side in the cab. Read somewhere a while ago that its some sort of broken bracket from the factory that’s common. Cant find any info now. Help welcome as we are looking to take it apart and fix. This is NOT a wind noise. This is a clunking, banging noise.

I had a noise over head and could reduce it when I pulled out the overhead box and grabs hold of it while driving. I decided to pull the head liner down and throw a bunch of more screws in it. Mine had a few month left under warrantee but I did not want the hassle of dropping it off for several weeks so I did the work myself.

Basically you have to pull the two panels off next to the seats and then pull the upper deck off ot is atta head with staples. Then you can start to pull the bumper off the opening again this is attached with staples. The liner is then attached under the bump rail. I then was able to add foam and sound dampener material in the voids. Finally added about a dozen self tapping screws. The reverse is done and the top has to be unvarnished after you staple it down.
