Hello everyone, my wife and I will pick up our first camper on Friday, a Jayco 184BH from Lee's RV in Edmond. We have tent camped for several years and we both camped prior to our marriage. My wife has 3 wonderfull children who have given us 4 grandchildren so far :hihi: which is why we chose the bunk house. We have talked about a camper for years and decided to finally take the leap of faith. Our first trip will be to the Chickasaw recreation area on the 21st and are considering 2 more trips prior to winterizing.

Having been a lurker on the forums for a few weeks I've been truly impressed by the community I've seen here and wanted to introduce ourselves. Our forum name comes from my hobby of flying model helicopters and planes. My wife told me in very clear terms we were NOT buying somthing to haul stuff that flys. I'm looking forward to many posts about our trips and learning from everyone here.

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum Flying Camper! We also camp with our grandkids. Pretty much the main reason we narrowed our choice to the BHS! Glad you could find us and definitely let us in on how things are going for you! :)

Hey! Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you guys are going to have a great time! I used to fly model planes at one point and I need to get back into it one of these days.

Enjoy that 184BH.

Thanks!

Thank you for the welcome! My wife has had so much fun buying little things for the new trailer I had to make the comment that she gets to buy the fun stuff, I get to buy the T*&$ toter. I kept an eye out the the cast iron skillet for two days :D

Welcome aboard from Kellyville, OK!

I like things that fly too and I've flown into Guthrie-Edmond airport several times to visit my brother when he lived in Edmond.

My wife is having a blast too buying things for our new trailer. :)

Update

Well, we have closed on our camper. It's still at the dealer while we wait for the new storage facility to finish the lights and security cameras. The walkthrough went very well and I was impressed with Lee's RV Superstore in the way that they handled everything. Everyone was very professional and courteous. Its amazing how many little things you need when your own a camper. From water hoses and chocks to hitch locks, it was a bit overwhelming.

All we need now is some practice in hitching / unhitching and parking. A friend I fly with has a CDL and will be working with both my wife and I so we get our communication down.

We will hit the road on the 21st so if you see a new Jayco being driven by a guy with a HUGE grin on his face, be sure to wave! ::woohoo::
