We just traded in our 2019 Jayco X23B for a new 2024 Jay Flight SLX 261BHS! I need to make some adjustments to the Husky Centerline TS Hitch (dealer installed during pickup), the way they set it up the arms were almost touching the frame towards the "L" brackets. i had a very hard time getting the drivers arm off once I got home, i almost maxed out the tongue jack height trying to release some of the tension. I need to load it first and then make the adjustments. Overall it towed great! 2021 Ram 1500 5.7 E Torque, 3.92 rear-end, 1800 payload, 17900 GCVWR.

Nice rig. You might want an Andersen tongue jack stand. Kind of looks like a bucket but is really well made and Andersen stands behind there products! Also great when you park on a off level site and need more tongue height to get level.

The floor pan is perfect for my family and it suits our camping needs perfect. It was a big upgrade from the X23B Hybrid, we look forward to a easier set-up and breakdown process which means more time to relax. We use the yellow stackable stabilizer pads for the hitch, but I will take a look at the Anderson tongue block.

I don't know about your actual ball height to the setup when unloading. But its also possible that with the new camper the hitch is just hanging up on your ball, making it harder to come off while raising the camper front in up with the jack. And yes an extra block of some sort will do wonders to create some reserve shaft when jacking it up. I use a big 6 x 6 x 18" solid block under my tongue jack to space the load out, especially when I am on dirt or gravel. You can nail a combination of blocking together if your lumberyard does not have any large timbers.

Nice. Great floor plan that allows for interior space, but not so long you compromise on the places you can go.
