Not an appetizing title, but it got your attention. I bought a used 2013 Jayco Eagle and have had a terrible time cleaning the water system. The strainer on the inlet of the pump has been clogged by pink slim multiple times. What I can assume is this...The previous owner had the trailer hook up to city water and didn't use the water pump or fresh water tank. It must have been winterized, but not flushed at some point allowing the antifreeze to sit for a long period of time causing it to thicken.
I have flushed the system 3 to 4 times, sanitized it, cleaned the strainer, replaced the pump. It's working now...but it clogged again the other night after being filled to test the system. It has even clogged the drains in the tanks. I was able to clean the lines by hooking a Shurflo pump to the outlets to suck the clog out of the drain.
HELP!
Any suggestions would be welcome... WE are leaving on a 10 trip to RMNP Thursday and need to make sure it's ready to go. Once we arrive at our site in Estes Park, we'll be on city water. We'll need to pump water for 2 nights each way.
Does anybody know the tank configuration of the fresh water system.
