Planning a long trip to Vegas what do you think about the route

Thank you, thank you once again for a much-needed info, I shouldn't have any problem I know that going this way saves me about 150 miles more than going over to Salt Lake City which will save me diesel fuel and time.

I see that leaving Caldwell, ID going to Ely, NV is about 404 miles so I will have to fuel up in between like in Twin Falls, and leaving Ely, NV going to Las Vegas is only 244 miles which I should be okay. Oh yeah, and going through Wells, NV.

There is a big Phillips 66 with diesel just off I-84 exit 173 on the north side of the freeway. It is right on 93 so when leaving there you just head south and follow the signs to stay on 93 through Twin Falls. We usually stop at the Sinclair in Rogerson, ID south of Twin Falls but they don't have diesel.

Ohhh, okay thank you.

Just download the Gas Buddy App to your phone, it will show you every station along your route. Big truck stop at wells.

Also download the Flying J/Pilot, Loves, and TA Travel Centers Apps. Easy to mark your fuel stops along the way.

These 2 website may come in handy, hope you never need them. ;)

Awesome, thank you sir, I do have the Gas Buddy app but not the other I will download them.

When I leave Mtn Home I stop at the second exit in Jerome and top off the tank..

This gets met through Twin Falls down to Wells.. that way I don’t have to mess with fuel in Twin ..

At Wells you have Phillips 66 on the right side along with Loves truck stop.. on the left you have two other truck stops..

From there I drive to Ely and fuel up there ..several statins coming into Ely and on the outskirts heading out,l fuel on the outskirts headed out.

I then take 318 and just as you come into Ash springs there is a Shell station and a Sinclair.. both on the right side. Either is a good choice

By filling at Ash springs I get into Vegas with plenty of fuel ..

You want to take the exit going into Nellis off I15 as this brings you right down the road where you would turn into the Nellis FAM camp…
