Our 2014 Octane did that where the seam was. It was not covered since it was 2 1/2 years old. It was just at the edges about 6 " in from the sides, both sides. Removed gutter, peeled back roof about 2', Cut about 1/4 " plywood from seam, screwed deck down (had screws, they pulled through the plywood), used spray adhesive on roof, reinstalled gutter with new butyl caulk tape, and have over 25k miles since repair without any move problems. No one can tell it was ever worked on. This was the repair method our dealer said they would do, I didn't want to wait so I did it in about 3 hours on a nice day.
