Poor Water Pump Installation

Recently picked up our 2025 Jay Feather Air 15MRB. Super noisy water pump and seems to be letting some air into the system as it “burps” while faucet is open and water running. This is our sixth RV so we have some working knowledge of RV problems. I accessed the water pump and found it lodged against a drain pipe in two places (see photos). I moved it away from the drain pipe and also placed rubber grommets under the feet. That pretty much took care of the excessive noise and vibration. The routing of the various hoses in and around the water pump is atrocious! There is sufficient room in that area that hoses do not have to be stretched so tight and looped over and around each other in a non sensible manner. These are installation issues that should not happen. Haven't found the air leak(s) yet. I did have to tighten a couple of easily accessible connections but the “burps” continue. Other than these issues we are loving our 15MRB! 😎

Glad you are enjoying your 15mrb. Got a question for you.

We have only been able to get out once with ours (we got ours a few weeks before you got yours) because my truck had some rodent damage on our first trip.

However, while on the first trip, we had the hood light on the stove vent blow. It flickered when the water pump ran and after a couple cycles of the pump the bulb died. InVision sent me a new one, but I haven't put it in to test yet.

I suspect 1) a bad bulb or 2) a 12v circuit issue where the hood is on the same run of 12v as the pump.

Relevant to your original post: Our pump seems quiet enough (compared to my former AFrame). I will however look closer at it this coming week when Dogwood Winter is over.

Just back from boondocking. Stove light blew when using water pump. I think the wiring needs to be rerouted to a different 12v circuit. Perhaps led’s do not like fluctuating power! No product name, number, or other identifying marks on the lamp. Will contact InVision.

Hmmmm. Haven’t been out since ours blew.

Bringing it to the house to do a few things tomorrow. I’ll look at this 12v circuit if I can.

Hoping to focus on a dinette bike mount before a trip a few weeks from now.
