Portable Ice Makers

In addition to using ours in the camper as previously mentioned, it saved us during our home remodel too.

When we were able to get back in our kitchen, but all our appliances were gone, and we were waiting for the new ones to come, I deployed the counter-top ice maker in the S&B kitchen. Made enough ice to keep our water cold, and keep the beer in the cooler cold too.

Frigidaire 26 lb. Countertop Ice Maker

We had bought a no name one from Walmart and it worked, but was slow. Then we bought a bigger, more expensive one from Kohls that worked fine until it suddenly died. Then, on short notice we pick up this smaller Frigidaire at Walmart and I tell this one puts out ice better than the bigger one ever did and only cost $99.

We keep ours in the bathroom with the ceiling vent fan running when it is hot to deal with the heat output.

Totally agree with KMO

I only use mine outside and I leave it on all weekend, always have ice in my drinks and a yeti mug helps.

We keep it on all day long outside. Turn it off at night when we go to bed. Turn it on in morning. Hopper is always full of ice. Pour a bottle of water and it works for hours

Since very few people use thier ovens , this would be a good place to put a portable ice maker. We use our oven to store pots and pans we seldom use but just have them , DW says see runs the kitchen so just Shut up....

Buy One. These things are awesome. I have one permanently mounted. They start making ice in 10 minutes. Just add water. I leave mine on and it stops when out of water. Plus if you don't get the chance to refill with water the ice will eventually melt and it will reuse the melted ice to make more ice. I've had mine for a few years.

What model do you have? Most I have seen do not reuse the melted water, it just sits in the bottom.

Mine continuous recycles the water. It’s an Igloo and couldn’t recommend it more highly for continued excellent service. Have used, and continue using, it a lot. Everyday.
