Post your Dutch Oven recipes here

the DW uses our Lodge skillet and Lodge round griddle combination as a "Dutch Oven" for cooking pizza on the stove top.

She builds the pizza on the round griddle while she preheats the skillet to about 9 million degrees F. on the stove top.
When the pizza is assembled she removes the skillet from the burner, places the griddle with the pizza on that burner, then covers the griddle with the preheated skillet.
This will cook the pizza very quickly, probably 5 minutes or less. The pizza actually comes out looking like one cooked in a wood fired pizza oven.

Yuuuummmm!!!

Wow, that is a great idea!

That's is an interesting method. May have to try it sometime. Suspect it does not work as well with a frozen pizza.

We haven't bought a frozen pizza in many years.

However, there appear to be some decent looking frozen pizzas out there.
I wonder if you let the pizza thaw out a tad and then try the dutch oven method?

Wow! No DO recipes added for 5 years? Here’s one that we like for breakfast jf we’re feeding a few people.

1 red bell pepper, diced
1 large onion, diced
2 pounds frozen, diced potatoes, or dice fresh ones
1 pound fresh sausage
1 pound grated sharp cheddar cheese, divided in half
1 dozen eggs, scrambled
1 1/2 teaspoons Tony Chachere’s Cajun Seasoninf

Cook sausage, onion, pepper, and Cajun seasoning together until sausage is cooked and the vegetables are soft. Stir in potatoes and 1/2 pound of the cheese. Pour scrambled eggs over the mixture. Cover the DO and cook for about 40 minutes with 10 charcoal briquettes under the DO and 20 on top. Check after about 35 minutes. When the eggs are nearly cooked, sprinkle the other 1/2 pound of cheese over the top of the eggs and cook for another 15 minutes.

This will feed about 8 - 10 people.
